What if I’m not available all the time?

We know everyone still has busy lives – the world hasn’t stopped just because we’re all at home!

If you’re a street champion, we don’t expect you to be available at all times and we understand that you’re not. We also know that many of our street champions may have to self-isolate and might not be able to physically do things for their neighbours, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be a street champion!

Our hope is that street champions help organise their street – whether through providing contact details to neighbours who might need help; setting up groups through Facebook, Whatsapp or phone trees; or asking neighbours who are able to help out to share their contact details or join groups so you can spread the load.

The first step is to either use our flyer or just handwrite a note for your neighbours to let them know you’re there.

If you’re looking for helpers, let them know how best to get in touch with you – whether by joining an online group or getting in touch by phone or email.

Our team are also available throughout the day, so if you receive an urgent request that you’re not able to help with, you can always let us know and we’ll match your neighbour up with someone nearby.

You can submit the request through our request form, by email at southsidesishelpers@gmail.com or by phone on 07385231282.
