Keeping connected is essential right now. As a street champion, you can help connect your neighbours with each other so they can help each other where they can.
Here are some ways you can help your neighbours get connected:
Set up a Facebook group
A Facebook group is a great way to connect people together and an easy way to communicate with bigger groups of people without having to share contact details.
We’ve put together a simple guide and resources for setting up a group for your street.
Set up a Whatsapp group
Whatsapp is another easy way to keep in touch, with instant messages to the whole group.
Check out our guide on how to set up a Whatsapp group with your neighbours.
Set up a phone tree
We know that not everyone has access to social media or other digital ways of communicating, and often these are the most vulnerable people. If your neighbours prefer to communicate over the phone, you can help organise a phone tree where you have several volunteers who can take calls and organise people to help.
If you have any questions or need some support, join our Street Champions Facebook group and ask there or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
