What a week! In just seven days, what began as a suggestion from our chair Rhona on the Battlefield Community Project page, is now a nearly 4000-strong group of local people offering to help each other in a world that is increasingly becoming unrecognisable.
The community spirit we’ve seen has been nothing short of amazing so far. From delivering groceries to offers of help with dog walking and providing home-baked loaves, we’ve seen incredible acts of kindness and generosity from our members so far.
Our goal when setting this up was to provide a centralised place for information and for people to connect with their neighbours. We’re working hard to pull together resources, as well as working with local organisations to get their message out to those who may need their help.
We’ll be updating here with useful information and signposts to local businesses and charities, as well as helpful content to get everyone through these unprecedented times.
If you’re a local business or organisation and you’d like us to signpost information on the services you can provide, drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll add you to our list of resources.

Thank you for everything so far, the response has been absolutely incredible. We don’t know how long this situation will last, but we know it’ll be a marathon, not a sprint, and we’ll be here for the duration.
